About Game
Checkers is a classic turn-based board game where two opponents move pieces diagonally across a checkered board, capturing enemy pieces and turning them into kings. The goal is to remove or block all opponent pieces using standard checkers rules.
In this version you can choose different characters to represent your pieces and play in three modes: against the computer, online versus other players, or together on one device.
How to play
The game is played on an 8x8 board using only the dark squares. Each side starts with the same number of pieces placed on the dark squares of the first three rows on their side of the board. Players move alternately, one move per turn.
Regular pieces move diagonally forward by one square to an empty dark square. To capture an opponent piece, jump over it diagonally to the empty square immediately behind it. If after a jump another capture is possible, you must continue jumping in the same turn until no more captures are available.
When a piece reaches the last rank on the opponent’s side, it is crowned and becomes a king. Kings can move and capture diagonally both forward and backward, following the standard rules of checkers.
Capturing is mandatory: if you can capture, you must do it. The game ends when one player captures all opponent pieces or blocks all their legal moves, or when both players agree to a draw. You can play using chosen characters in any of the available modes: vs computer, online, or two players on one device.
